El Nasser (Root Stallion #41 in RAS Studbook, 1948, p.44) (former race name "Didane") 
Grey stallion foaled: 1938 
Sire: Douhayman el-Ajarrache, of the Jibur tribe 
Dam: Dajaniah, a Kuhaylah Dajania of the horses of Ahmed al-Taha 

Bred by Sheikh Ahmed al-Taha of the Juhaych near Aleppo. Acquired by Henri Pharaon in 1940 who later raced him for several seasons. Then Pharaon sold the horse to Khader Michuu who sold him to Ahmed Abu El Futuh who raced him in Egypt. Given to the RAS by Ahmed Abu El Futuh in 1947. Used for breeding by the RAS.  Sire of 11 recorded get in the RAS Studbook. 

His only otherwise Al Khamsa get to breed on: Sehr (x Salwa) 1948 grey mare, dam of the RAS/EAO stallion Shahriar (Nasralla). The addition of El Nasser will add more than 3500 horses to the Al Khamsa Roster. 

 
Progeny Table Notes for El Nasser
  • This table contains the additions to Al  Khamsa's Roster (defined as living breeding stock in North America and  their ancestors) resulting from the addition of El Nasser (RAS) as an Al Khamsa  Foundation Horse.
  • Many of the ancestors in this table do not,  themselves, have El Nasser (RAS) blood.  They have come into the Roster  because their descendants in North America do have his blood.
  • There are 800+ horses with El Nasser  blood which are pedigree-eligible for AK, but do not have Roster progeny so are not included in the above table.
